Default Painting brake calipers

I was planning to paint my calipers this coming weekend but a mechanic at a local dealer told me not to. He said the reason for this is because brake calipers will not cool down as fast as before and this will affect brakes over time?

I have not seen any adverse comments about painted calipers through "search" and I am wondering if anyone who has had theirs painted notice any problems??

ummm this is interesting, i really don't know the answer... but imho, if you really want that hard core cool down (we are talking about very hot here), you already should consider brakes upgrade?

Like rominl said, unless you're tracking the car, I don't think you have much to worry about.

Make sure you use a quality paint with, using multiple coats preferrable one with a high temp rating.
