Unhappy Please Help Rock

Ok guys, I think I might have a serious problem here. Last night(this evening) I pulled in from work and parked the GS on the front lawn. I left my wheels turned and thought nothing of it. I went back about an hour later to move the GS off the lawn..... As I was starting to back up and turning the steering wheel, I felt this hard drag,. I was like, damn, maybe my parking break is on. Nope, I was not sure what it was so I get out of the car and I notice the passenger wheel is turned all the way in.... The driver's side is straight... WTF????? Did I somehow do major damage to the GS or what> I have been rolling around on the Tein Flex for almost a year no, and have the GS 17's..... Can someone please help and advise. I have already called Lexus and they will be picking it up in the Am. Am I going to be SOL on the warranty because of the Tein??? Please tell me no. I have CPO status and thus far the Tein has never been an issue and no one has ever told me at Lexus that I might have avoided the warranty. Any input??

Rock a few things come to mind... End link (steering), Ball joint or Rack. None of these are too bad unless its the steering rack itself.

Be VERY nice to your dealer and say you have a STEERING problem (not suspension). Hopefully they'll fix it under warranty.

Sounds like a broken tie rod end. Do you have a lot of miles on your GS? Sometimes if one side is bad it is possible that the other side is bad as well.

Unhappy Help

Yeah, it appears that it is a tie rod... I just drop it off at the Dealer. The car has 67K miles. Is it really normal for that to go out like that?? What if it had gone out while I was on the freeway doing 75 MPH, less 5 minutes prior to getting home?? Damnnnnn. That does not sound normal to me. Anyway, I am sure the will replace both no???

I wouldn't assume anything from the dealer. They may look at both tie rods and if the other one looks OK, they will probably leave it alone. See if you can get a peak at the failed one and see how it failed (just broke in half, one of the ends having a problem, etc.). Don't worry about what if it happened at speed. It didn't, just be grateful.

Wink Yeah...

No doubt... Well, the GS is in good hands with devildogIS300. He is a guru and I know he will hook it up.... Besides we are both former jarheads....

Ooooh-Raaaah!
