I recently received a set of F-sport shock absorbers for my 07 IS350 with the following P/Ns:
PTR13-53080-Front Right
PTR13-53081-Front Left
PTR13-53082-Rear x2

When I look at the www.f-sport.com website (under the 'Control' tab), it shows the f-sport shock absorber P/Ns for the RWD IS250/350 listed as:
PTR13-53093-Front Right
PTR13-53094-Front Left
PTR13-53095-Rear x2

On the same f-sport.com site, it shows PTR13-53080 and PTR13-53081 (the ones I received) as the shocks for the IS250/350 Convertible models.

Upon further research on clublexus, I found an f-sport thread which displays a MSRP and P/Ns chart for the F-sport parts which contradicts the f-sport.com website and matches the parts I received:



Can any clublexus members confirm which list is correct for me? I was going to install the F-sport shocks and springs this weekend until I found this discrepancy between the f-sport website and the online parts chart. I greatly appreciate the help.

Hey redspencer,

I know it's a bit late but I think you have the right F-Sport Springs for your IS350. I'm actually trying to confirm the same thing at the moment, as I'm negotiating the purchased of a used F-Sport Spring/Shock set to upgrade my IS250.

I found an F-Sport product catalog dating back to 2009 from the Toyota website that confirms the parts are suitable for all IS250 and IS350 models excluding AWD:

As I understand, I think these springs have now been superseded by new F-sport shocks part number suitable for IS250,IS350 and GS350 (RWD only):

PTR13-53093 Front right
PTR13-53094 Front left
PTR13-53095 Rear

Did you end up fitting the new shock/spring set to your car? If so how is the ride quality etc? Do you notice much difference from stock and is it worth the extra cost? Also have you noticed any extra wear and tear on your tires?

Yes, the F-sport shocks I received were the correct ones and the P/Ns that were listed on the F-Sport Website were incorrect.

When my IS350 went from being stock to having the F-Sport Sway bar, I immediately noticed a significant improvement in the handling compared to stock (as other members can easily vouch as well).

I was hesitant to go to the next level by installing the F-Sport Spring and Bilstein Shock combo because I was afraid that the ride quality would suffer. Surprisingly, the ride quality had actually improved with the car once the shocks and springs were installed. My wife was going to be the biggest critic because she didn't want the IS350 to feel as stiff as my Supra had but after the install, she said the car felt better than stock! With the exception of being careful with hitting small bumps on the road, when you are on a flat surface, the IS is highly responsive to any turn you can throw as the car feels completed planted. The significance of the improvement in handling with the F-sport shocks and springs was just as dramatic as the improvement in handling when the car went from Stock to having the F-sport sway bar. It was another Night and Day difference. Whenever I take the IS to the lexus dealership, the techs can't believe how smooth and responsive the vehicle feels compared to the hundreds of stock IS250/350s they have to service annually.

When there was the big Lexus event in NJ a few months ago to showcase the new LF-A, the Lexus IS-F and IS350 F-sport were available for drivers to test drive around a course. Many drivers that drove the IS350 F-Sport and IS-F around that track said the IS350 F-sport felt more responsive and predictable around the turns than the heavier IS-F. I cannot say enough good things about the set-up I have with the IS. It's essentially become a junior IS-F without the upgraded motor, tranny, and brakes but the IS350 is no slouch with its brakes, gearing, and stock motor. My personal opinion is that it's worth every penny and a great upgrade to keep me happy with the IS for another couple of years.

Hey Redspencer, bringing this thread back from the dead again! Im in the same delima with part numbers. Even though it seems the ones you received are working just fine, I just called my dealer and they are in fact still showing that the part numbers for the IS350 RWD should be:
right front- ptr13-53093
left front- ptr13-53094
bother rears-ptr13-53095 x2

I notice your series of part numbers are in the 8's(second to the last digit), and the new ones are in the 9's...I wonder if they updated the design or something. Does anyone know for sure who can confirm. Hoping to order these this week

Again I have the answer to my own question, but hopefully this info will help someone else in the future. These are the original part numbers that fit the 2007(and possibly other yrs, I didn't check) is350 sedan:
PTR13-53080
PTR13-53081
PTR13-53082

However the numbers have been superseded with these numbers:
PTR13-53093
PTR13-53094
PTR13-53095

The second set of numbers is the one that you will likely be sold unless you request the others, as they are still available. I asked 3 different dealers(Sewell, Park Place, and Lexus San Diego)....I also talked to one parts manager and even called the Lexus Intl. hotline. I was told supersession is typical with Lexus parts and can reflect upgrades, new suppliers, etc. One source did tell me he things that they might be retuned, perhaps stiffer or something...but it sounded more like speculation than fact. Needless to say I have a set of the most current part numbers on order.
