Default where to start

I have a 93 400. Last week I had the struts and shocks replaced. The rear shocks were worn to the point they were stuck shut. After replacement of the shocks I know have a strange rattle when I hits bumps particularly when there are several bumps in succession. My mechanic has driven the car and says it is not the shock mounts or sway bar. He thinks it might be bushings but admits he doesn't know where to start. Any suggestions on what I might look for or change out. TIA.

go look under the car at the rubber with a flash light and see how cracked/broken it is. could be sway bar end links, control arms.. a lot of things. is the noise from or rear?

Yes noise is from rear. After doing some further research I ordered new sway bar bushings. I'll give them a try first.

Tighten up the sway bar links as tight was you can too after you install the bushings

My bet would be end links or strut mounts. It's best to always replace the mounts when getting new shocks. Grab the end links while laying beside the car and if you can wiggle them then there's your problem. They are cheap and easy to replace.
