Default Upgrading front brakes to IS350?

Hello,
I'm
Considering upgrading my front brakes only from the stock IS250 to IS350. Just wondering if anyone has done the fronts only as I don't see the point in upgrading the rears. Just wondering if there is a noticeable difference to justify the cost.
Thank you,
Chris

RWD should be much cheaper as there are more parts available, AWD is probably around 600-1000$

Actually not really, its all the same price since lexus made changes on some of the later models. The 09+ Rotors fit on ALL models. I have 2009+ RWD rotors on my IS250 AWD. 06-08 are the only models where the RWD rotors are different. My 350 brake conversion cost me about 450-maybe 500 on parts alone. I did the work my self so I saved the labor cost.

To the OP, check out this DIY as it really applies to All cars

as for braking power, in slow cold conditions, its not really noticeable. But once the brakes warm up, there is a significant difference in braking power IMO. My front tends to squat a little more than before under hard braking. The one thing I didnt like is now braking in the turns feels a little unbalanced since its a larger rotor up front and the same small rotor in the back. It caused a little over steer but my AWD whips right back. Overall, is it worth the money? I would say so!

The only difference between AWD and RWD is the rotors, so I don't think there should really be any difference in cost, just get the correct rotors.

I actually meant used parts since there's a lot more people with a RWD IS350 since it's been out for much longer and also RWD being the bigger market

Jeff - can you confirm the red part up top? for Canada spec that is Thx

06-13 RWD IS350's in Canada all use the same rotors, they will not fit the AWD.
11-13 AWD IS350's in Canada have the correct rotors to fit either the AWD or RWD.

Thanks, mine being 09 AWD, I'd need AWD-specific rotors, and any AWD/RWD pads then.

For upgrade to 350 brakes, I would need any AWD/RWD rotors and calipers and pads. Possibly dust shield too I'm assuming.

Calipers, pads, dust shields, shims and other hardware are all the same for all RWD/AWD models.

The only thing you really need to make sure you get specifically for the AWD is the rotors.

The ISF rear calipers actually look GREAT with the IS350 Advics front calipers. Thought I had a pic here when I briefly had the setup on my IS350 but guess not. Oh well
