Default Reasonable brake upgrade behind chrome 17s

Dont kill me, I really have been searching for this answer. I want to upgrade the size of my front brakes but I don't want to need to run huge rims. Id like to keep my stock chrome 17s. The two popular upgrades ive seen are LS and Supra. I dont need all out performance just a bump up from stock.

So whats available and at what cost?

I just saw a user post a set of TT's with stock wheels, but I don't know if he's running spacers or not for caliper clearance. Not too sure about the LS', but I doubt they'd be too much different.

I do like the idea of bigger rotors. More leverage, cooler braking temps, more pad surface, longer pad life, more control during braking. I guess the only downside is more rotating and unsprung weight. But there are more pros than cons.

If my only reasonable option is to run Hawk HPS pads then so be it. But bigger rotors would be a nice benefit.

The LS calipers weigh less, from what I remember. However, I dont think the same applies to the TT's though.

LS calipers are aluminum while I believe TT are not. The LS calipers weigh less than my stock gs3's. I spent less than 400 on this upgrade. I have 17's but they are not stock.
