Default Painting Brake Calipers

I wish the 3IS F-Sport came with Lexus Brake Calipers. My old G37 S had gray infiniti ones they look pretty cool. Anyone plan on painting the brake calipers on their 3IS? I would love to hear any tips or materials used. I plan on doing this to my 3IS in the near future.

I just used black spray paint and painted mine. I'm not a big fan of painting them in bright colors when their so small

Maybe if I had a IS350. But even then the rear brakes are still tiny. I just do them in black so you don't notice them. Lol

clean the surface, scuff the surface (sandpaper/similar) to help the new paint stick, clean the surface again, thoroughly rinse/dry, paint surface. clearcoat if you want.

this is the same concept to paint almost everything.

As an alternative to paining the calipers, I added the Lexus emblem and I'm very happy with the look.

Yes and sprayed on a thin coat of clear coat as an extra precaution. See my build thread (link above) for more details.

make sure you get high temp vinyl and high temp clear coat. Clean the surface, apply sticker, give it about 2-3 coats of clearcoat
