Default 2022 IS350 Caliper Color Recommendations

I been thinking about painting my 2022 IS350 F Sport calipers. I have Ultrasonic Blue Mica 2.0 paint. What colors calipers do you guys think will match the paint?

White would look clean but then it would be covered in brake dust and just turn it black again. So i’m not too sure about white

That’s when you need Project Mu NSC brake pads as they produce little to no dust. Have it on my car and it’s wonderful.

Hey, your calipers look great!

I found your post and i was looking to buy some red VHT Rattle Can and paint mine.
How is it holding after few months? Is it chipping/fading?
Did you use any primer before / clear coat after? Or just paint?

Thanks in advance!

Its holding up good, no chipping just a little fading..no as shinny as when I applied the clear coat. I did no use any primer before just cleaned then up with CRC brake clean..just make sure they are completely dry before you start the process.

thank you! As long as there is no chipping i’ll be happy, I expect some fading with the time due to brake dust and weather etc.
i mean can’t complain for the price of couple rattle cans vs 250$+ for powdercoating 😅

Default Rear calipers matching?

What about the rear calipers. I have 2023 and the rear are the small basic calipers. Anyone switch them out for matching to the fronts?

"switch them out"? No, I would not recommend doing that, or if it is even possible.

I would say painting them black to match the fronts is a good idea.

Agreed, no need to "switch them out." The OEM brakes on the IS350 i'd say are more than enough. Also the EPB would be an issue. Only reason I would "upgrade" them is because of power i.e. IS500 or forced induction
