Do springs effect the variable suspension?

Default Do springs effect the variable suspension?

This may be a dumb question, but when springs are installed do you lose the variable suspension ability of the IS350 f sport?

Cant figure out if springs or coilovers effect this.

Hopefully someone can clear up the confusion

No they will not. The AVS actuators are attached to the shock body. Changing the springs will not affect it.

When you changed your springs did you change the struts and the elbow tie?

installing coilovers will cause you to lose that option on Sport + mode...word is RS*R is working to offer an option for those wishing to get coilovers and keep that option

Awesome, that would be a great option. RS*R is tearing it up, they are owning the 3IS market. This would just take them over the top.

Definitely on lowering springs.

Do you have access to basic hand tools and a day to dedicate to a suspension install? If you purchase BC Racing coilovers ($999, if not less), you replace all four corners myself for less than what a shop will charge to do 2 corners on a mis-match of springs/shocks.

Any "performance shops" in your area that would offer a coilover install? Shouldn't be too much, since the install on our cars is really straight-forward.
