Toyota vs aftermarket rotors? Any quality difference ?
Hey guys, time for me to get new rotors but I'm on a pretty tight budget at the moment, sewell had rotors at 186$ a set like 370 for all 4 I'm just wondering if anyone's used cheaper aftermarket ones and how they've fared maybe form autozone or whatever. Wondering maybe they just warp faster, think its worth buying or should I save and get the oem I know I can trust

You should most likely be able to pickup Centric/Stoptech and probably even Brembo blanks for less than what the dealership was asking of you. You just have to look around.

I've always found that quality aftermarket rotors are on par or better than stock for my Japanese cars.
However, the cheaper Autozone, etc ones are definitely not as good. These are not made as well and won't last as long.
But if you're in a pinch, you could pick some up and then swap the pads/rotors to good ones when you can afford them, keeping the others as backups. I've done this several times.

Hey I can comment on this. I bought cross drilled rotors off eBay for my GS430. They are good considering the fact they were $100-150 more then the ones Sewell was asking for. I'd say the quality is safe to bank on DEPENDING what brand you buy. As far as AutoZone, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM! Defective parts every time and no quality! They have the lowest quality stocked parts ever. Just my opinion. I hope your issue gets resolved.
