Ive read alot of fourms about the bang (metal to metal) noise. This only happeneds on both my front coilovers when hitting bumps and pot holes. I tried the top mount 17mm nut and allen wrench tightening with open ended wrench still no improvement maybe did it wrong. I tightened the sway bar bolts to the end links. Made steering tighter. Did some lubricating and tryed some tightening on all the components I to take off to do the suspension. Still nothing. But id love for this noise to go away please help! Thanks
Should I try loosing the top mount nut and try re tightening?
Not only will you ruin other suspension components but risk ride quality. If you are not Dumped and getting the Bang its because your hitting the stops... Throw them out..

depends how much you cut, there is a thread on how to do it.
Right true yea i look at the threads. I mean i just my passenger side its about 2 inches its a circle. I need to cut about a half inch more i don't think that would really effect it. Ijust feel like i cut my engine bay, now im screwed, it looks terrible i messed my car up, lol! Im freakin.. But ill post some pics.
Hack job i know please don't hate to much. But the cut needs to be about a half inch larger on the lower left side. It still hits just. an idea on size and location and ive only done the passenger side.
