Default F-Sport BBK and Spare Tire

Hey CL, so I have F-Sport BBK and going on a road trip soon. Currently took off my Vossens and put on my OEM wheels. They clear my BBK but my question is does the spare tire fit as well? If not, what size spacer do I need to bring with me in the event of a flat? Thanks!

i would think it should still fit. unless all the different IS models dont have the same same spare. but in the case they do, i would think if it clears the 350 brake, clearing the isf brembo/f sport bbk shouldnt be an issue since its more narrow

Does IS-F has a spare tire in its trunk? If so, I would buy IS-F spare tire.

Yes it has a spare, but I'd rather spend a few bucks on a spacer which is really a "just in case" than a few hundred on a new spare. Of course it'd be great if I don't need a spacer at all.

Any conformations yet?

Just like jdmsw20 said....the f-sport bbk is narrower than the 350. So if the spare clears the 350's caliper, I would assume it would clear the bbk.

250 and 350 have same spare, so fits the 350 brakes for sure...which theoretically should fit the fsport bbk as well since calipers not as thick...but then again fsport calipers prolly bigger than the 350 brakes so maybe need 18" spare?

I hope you decided on a spare... I left this as a low priority and ended up with a major FLAT on a road trip. Total PITA and I spent way more time and money for nothing...ruined my trip!

Long story short I just now picked up the 18x4 spare from the Genesis Coupe w/bbk. It's readily available, half the cost of the ISF spare and clears bbk. 18x4, 135/80-18 (ISF is 18x4, 135/70-18).

Jusssssst fits the spare tire well...

Took care of the tpms sensors once and for all...no more floating around inside the spare

looks good mikellucci. I actually just bought an IS-F spare, but oddly enough I can't get the actual tire.

I was quoted $259 just for a 185/70-18 tire! Insane! Find a Kumho 185/80-18 to wrap the 18x4 in.

Jared, ask Enrique what he did. He has an IS F spare on his Rotoras. Text me if you need his number.

Hey Jared!

Didn't know about this post until Mariano texted me.

I followed Javier's recipe here:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...ipped-2is.html

but instead of a 25mm spacer, i was able to fit mine with a 5mm spacer =]

I used the spare tire from an IS-F and bought the tire from a Les Schwab Tire Center in Oregon for about $120 (this was a while back)

Best investment I've made... I had to use the damn thing twice so far!

Don't forget to keep a set of your OEM lugs too!

Good luck!

Nice Enrique. I already bought the IS-F spare. Just need the tire and a 5-15mm spacer should be good
