Default Steering shakes..

So I have searched around and found some similar issues but I am trying to nail this down to the specific problem.

My steering wheel shakes side to side when driving at lower speeds and when braking. I also noticed that as I was backing out of my parking spot yesterday it made a strange jerking noise.

When I get my speed up around 50-80 the problem seems to go away....

Any ideas?

Get your tires balanced, if you have aftermarket go to a shop that specializes in custom sizes, Discount Tires and shops like that tend to go stupid on non-stock wheels. If its still shaking after that, get an alignment then report back to us. Good luck.

Might want to check all the bushings? As my car kinda shake as well. My bushings are gone. Also with braking maybe your brakes and rotors.

sounds like the lower control arm bushings are bad. mine does the same thing. does it pull realllly hard on grooves in the road and on bumps? and kind of pop when you hit the brakes after backing up. common problem on sc's. also your steering rack bushings are probably worn out which can cause a shake at speed too. i replaced mine with battle version solid aluminum bushings and its so much better, still have to do the control arms though...

Yea, when I am pulling out of a parking spot it kind of pops. Not all the time but sometimes... which is kind of weird. What's a fix on that cost wise?

Originally I was thinking warped rotors but I am not so sure since it does it even when I am not braking. Not to mention the strange pop i've heard while backing out...

Im getting the same symptoms, my passenger side rotor might be sticking as its kind of hard to move the wheel freely, and im doing the bushings the following week.
