I know there are a lot of posts regarding the isx50 awd suspension and i've been reading a lot. I've been hearing 24.5" ground to fender is max and then I am hearing 25" ground to fender and so on.

Hopefully these questions will help me and other AWDer's out there.

1. What is the max you can lower your is250 AWD from ground to fender without damaging axles and cv boots?
   
2. What is the max approximate drop in inches for your is250 AWD without damaging axles and cv boots?
   
3. What is the safe zone drop for an is250 AWD to avoid any damage?
   
4. Are there anything I should do before lowering my car such as checking cv boots and axles, etc?
   
5. If I were to replace my cv boots before lowering the car will that prevent any damage or it does not matter because lowering the car will damage it?
   
6. If cv boots / axles were damaged, how much is the estimate for parts and labor?
   
7. If you start to feel vibrations at stop lights, is that a sign that your cv boot is going bad or it's normal and let it as be?

I will update this post with answers that are reliable and will add questions that people might have with answers if any.

interesting thread, id like to hear the answers but i dont think a ripped cv is whats causing vibrations. its the short axles that cause it. also its not just awd cars that you have to worry about wearing out the cv joint. thats any lowered car if your low enough

i just lowered my awd the other day. tried 24.5=vibration, then tried 25 inches= less vibration but still there. Now im at 25.5 i believe = no vibration but looks like stock height to me. Was hoping there would be a fix for this. Heard about the fix with spacers but never went into production

never went into production because i am not a vendor. i tried contacting the people who host this site (IB i believe) and they never got back to me hence why i posted all the specs so people can have them made themselves.

for me it drastically decreased the vibrations. I was 23.5" from fender to ground and i had little to no vibrations.

I'm lowered on coils for about 45,000 miles now. I'm not slammed and have about a 2 inch gap. Vibrations are only noticeable in the winter when its cold. Summer I barely feel anything. My front driver CV boot went at maybe 10,000 miles after install which was covered under the power train and Lexus took care of it. I'm now at 75,000 and when I took my car in for the dash recall my report card noted now the passenger CV boot was leaking a little. I only drive the car on the weekends, about 10,000 a year. So the above issues are no big deal to me. I'm well aware that whenever you put aftermarket parts on a car there will be some annoying issues you'll have to deal with. But hey the car looks good.
