I am getting ready to change my ball joints and tie rod for the third time. I change them every year and a half. I have never applied grease after the install though. Can someone please explain how to do so, what type of grease?

I'm running the MOOG ball joints and tie rod ends. I needed to replace both, the OEM ones were covered in grime and grease, the boots where shredded. The MOOG parts I have say 555 Japan on both parts. Ordered from Rock auto. Great product!
