Lowering springs gone wrong?
Well Im installing lowering springs from megan racing on my supra struts, but theres a gap.
Im not too familiar with lowering springs but is this normal? The gap is about 3/4ths of an inch.
I asked a friend and he said its fine since the weight of the car will keep it in its place, that or I mixed the rears with the front. But, i doubt that because I have the shorter and thicker springs in the front.
thanks for any help guys.

Generally, it would be fine, because like what your friend said, the weight of the car would keep it in place. What I would be more concerned about is if you got the wrong spring/strut combo. From what I know if you use Supra strut, you need to use Supra springs as well and vice-versa.

^Thank you
And yes, the suspension combo is both from a tt supra. Although, I noticed that if I switch around the springs, the fit is better, but it doesnt make sense to put the thicker and shorter spring in the rear right?

Rear supra shocks have a higher spring perch, because the rear strut tower is higher in the body of a supra than that of an SC, hence why supra rear springs are also shorter.
Looks to me like you've installed a set of supra rear springs on SC rear shocks

I agree with Tabaka..DO NOT assume the weight of the car will keep you and your car safe.
How do the rear springs fit? Do you have a part number on the spring to confirm application? In your picture, is the spring stuck on the boot there? Or is that clearing enough for shock compression to where the spring will sit in place?
No you dont normally need a spring compressor for drop springs. My Eibach's sit on my KYB's right at the top hat with just enough room to start the threads for the nut, but the Megan Springs may have a higher lowering rate.

There is a problem. There is something that isn't right here. Way too much space. I am just glad you posted up before you assumed everything was fine, later to find out your SC in the classified section, since you wrecked it. Sometimes it is better to allow us to give our opinion. Better safe than sorry.

guys, its fine to ride on.
its basically like cut springs, however, i myself wouldn't ride on it.
the spring is suppose to rest against pretty snug against the perch (so much that you need a spring compressor to install it)
seems to me like you have the wrong combo.
