Default Update on Zinc Plated Rotors

I have had my crossdrilled zinc plated rotors for over 1 month and a half and they have NOT rusted! I have seen where alot of members on cl have the crossdrilled rotors and they have rusted. I bought mine for 230$ for the front and the rears from raceconcepts.com. They are Bradi fronts and raybestos rears. These rotors are awesome especially when combined with the ebc brakepads. I honestly dont notice much brake dust even with the 18 l-tuned wheels.

Can you post a pic of your rotors if you didn't already in the past? I need to get some new rotors. Thanks

Thanks for that info,
For me, rust was the biggest concern because lets face it, for $200 bucks these are cheap rotors because materials aren't exactly free and the company's got to make profit too. But its good to know that you can get quality rotors for a great price.
I don't know if 1 month really tells the test of time, please post again in a few months or so.

I still have no rust to date. It has been about 2 months . We have had some pretty bad weather and they have held up beautifully with the ebc pads. These by far are defintely worth te 230 I paid .

Not alot of brake dust is due to the pads, not the rotor. The slotted or x-drilled rotor generate more dust anyway, same pads.

but $230 for both front and rear are pretty good. I paid close $280shipped for just the front (supra size) by Powerslot, and that was the best deal I could find, online (got them from a group buy)

Good to hear that you have good result with your rotors, I always scare to buy rotors that I have not heard about them before (even brembo cross drilled rotor, with another brand on it, the Brembo brand is still on the rotor) People buy blank Brembo rotors, drill it themself and sell it back for cheap.
==>the result is ...crack rotors under extreme condition, every scrary when that happen. Rusted rotors are caused by many thing: salt on the road, weather, and/or just poor quality plating.

I don't know about the stock brake system, never have them before, but the SupraTT can put some serious stress on the rotors. So far, I am very happy with the Powerslot, no rust, great brake feel, no noise. But I like the look of x-drilled rotor more look modz, my slotted ones look like stock

Or maybe the rotors aren't rusting and it's just the materials in the pads... That's what make mine look like they're rusty, one press on the brake and they are clean again..

i know several people that have cracked their x-drill rotor, I chose the slotted because i want the added perf, but less chance of cracking the rotor. but I think if you get a good name x-drilled rotors, you should be ok. I don't trust aftermarket part that much when it come to stoping the car. I don't think any of these companies offer warranty if you crack the rotor.
