Suspension Upgrade - Shocks & Springs from an BMW E46
Hello,
I am looking for an suspension upgrade to my current IS200. I want to lower it and make it a bit more stable.
Obviously there are a lot of different coilovers on the market, but i had a strange idea, because i don't want to spend a ton of $$$.
I found a dude that is selling shocks & springs from an BMW E46 328, which are M-Tech, so basically a bit lower than the stock E46 suspension.
After i did a comparison , they seem very similar to the stock IS200 shocks and springs. And according to my calculations it should lower the IS200 with at least 12-13mm or so. (maybe even more)
However, I am wondering if they will fit? I tried searching everywhere, but i didn't found any forum threads with a similar question. What do you guys think?

I definitely think that it it a bad idea and it will not fit or work at all. And those springs would be geared to the BMW weight and balance ratio, not the IS200. It would be much smarter (and safer) to stick with IS200 lowering springs. Or maybe you just need new shocks to make it feel stable again. But, if the guy selling the BMW parts is local and can let you borrow the parts to see if they fit, let us know if they do. It is theoretical that anything could be made to fit, it's just a matter of how much work and fabrication you want to do.
