Default Road Magnet Springs came in the mail! Have a quick question

hey, i just got my road magnet springs in the mail over the weekend for my 2011 is250 fsport. i got a question. is cutting the bumpstop necessary? ive done a google search and haven't really gotten a clear answer. some guys say cutting is not necessary whatsoever. but instructions say to cut about 1/2 or 3/4 of an inch off. hoping to get these springs in tomorrow. any help is appreciated, thanks

How much of a drop are the road magnet springs? 2 inches? I never had to cut with my Eibachs or FSports, but those dont drop as much. Its not going to hurt to take 1/2 inch off the bumpstop, especially if its a big drop.

I wouldn't do it....it will just induce faster shock wear
