Default Odd Vibration From Rear Tires

Need some help CL.

I had a flat about 6 days ago, drove maybe 1/2 mile before I pulled over and put the spare on. The spare is smaller than my 19 inch rims and I drove it home from there. Maybe 4-5 miles into the drive home on the spare I was getting a rough vibration that was more or less happening with the rotation of the tire. Kind of like a Thwack, Thwack, Thwack everytime the tire turns.

Anyways I got it home and got a new tire put on to my rim.

Today I put my 19 inch rim with the new tire back on to my rear left tire (which is where the flat happened) and took the car out for a little spin. About ~10-11 miles into the test drive I started getting the same vibration.

The vibration goes away when

I'm moderately accelerating
I'm turning left

The vibration gets louder when
I let off the gas
I'm turning right

Also if I am stopped for a while and start driving the vibration will be gone for quite a bit depending on how long I stopped for.

From reading the forum I'm thinking it could be the wheel bearings, but I'm wondering if it could be possible that I need to have my alignment re-done or Maybe the tire wasn't balanced properly? Also is there anything I'm not considering that could be causing this? Any an all advice/help appreciated.

Is it possible that having 2 different tires in the back would cause this vibration?

To clarify, they are the same exact tire size, just one is a Nitto W-rated, and the other a Kumho Z-rated. I was planning to buy a matching Nitto for the rear when I got back home as I am currently visiting my parents for another week, but if it's causing the problem I will just do it now.

well i could, if the tire was mounted backwards, but not really it would cause a constant sound when driving like a humming, or drowning (SP). im sure i would hear the samething on my car if i wasn't running an open header.

Try re-balancing your two rear tires first.

But from what you have explained, it could be your wheel bearings.

So lifted the rear off the ground to try and see if there was any play in the tires, turned out the jackhole who put the tire on (me) did not properly torque the lugs down and my wheel was loose. Fixed it and learned another lesson. Always double check your work.

Nice! I wish mine was that quick and easy. Glad you got it taken care of, it could've been dangerous.
