Default 1997 sc300 Control arm help

Car has about 170k...starting to wonder a bit on highway as well as I get the "clunk" sound when backing out of driveway.

I'm guessing I need to replace upper and lower control arms.

I've searched and searched and it seems "Carson Toyota has best prices for the lower control arms"

price is 262.76 a side for "1995 Supra control arms"

Mechanical Catalog - 1995 - Toyota - SUPRA
front suspension, lower control arm Supra Right $262.76

Mechanical Catalog - 1995 - Toyota - SUPRA
front suspension, lower control arm Supra Left $262.76

are these Supra arms the correct part for my 1997 Sc300?

Also as far as the upper arms..they are crazy expensive..thru carson

are these "dorman" decent?

http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...mString=search

Autozone 150 ish
ebay has em too..

thoughts/advice would be greatly appreciated

thank you

go on ebay look up a 93-plus supra upper control arm. you can find stock or aftermarket parts for the same price or cheaper.

not yet...trying to decide if keeping the car is worth it...
I'm at that point
"when will it end" just to get the car back to good running stock condition.

gonna need
two uppers CA
two lowers CA
steering rack bushings

plus labor..

car has 165k...

then probably have to do struts/shocks or coilovers as well.
any advice is appreciated

If you enjoy the car as most of us do, then it is indeed worht the headache of replacing them and continue to drive it. I say fix it and be happy, happy, happy.

ready to get these parts ordered and to my mechanic ASAP.
I'm cunfused with all these diffrent websites stating different things.

as far as L tuned

http://l-tunedparts.com/product/?id=3114

This part is suitable for the following models:
SC300
1991-1996
SC400
1991-1996

fits 91-96 ... late 97-and up will not work as the arm is different arm" (is this even true???)

Sewell states they are the same from 92-00

http://lexus.sewellparts.com/accesso...1997/4401.html

these are what I was ready to order....from Carson.

Mechanical Catalog - 1995 - Toyota - SUPRA
front suspension, lower control arm Supra Right

Mechanical Catalog - 1995 - Toyota - SUPRA
front suspension, lower control arm Supra Left

can someone confirm what are the correct parts I need to order?..best price of course.

get the supra tt from curt and use the upper ones from amazon doorman brand. that way you get the ball joint replaced too.

I am interested what is the outcome. Still holding back if I am going to replace just the bushing on the front LCA or get a new Supra TT front LCA. I have a 1998 SC300.

On another thread, it said there is a difference between the size of the stock LCA and the supra.
