Default Squeaking brakes

Not sure if anyone can help me out but this is driving me nuts. For the last week, my brakes have been squeaking when braking at low speeds (usually when in traffic or slowly creeping to a stop). Also only happens when I've been driving for awhile. It usually doesn't squeak when I first drive it in the morning. I went to my mechanic and explained the issue and he said it was most likely caused by overheating brake pads or brakes needed to be replaced. We replaced both brakes and everything. I first started driving and didn't hear anything but once I hit the highway and was close to being home, it started squeaking again. Can anyone help figure this out?

I would follow this brake component "bed-in" procedure to see if it helps : https://www.powerstop.com/brake-pad-break-in-procedure/
