Default Need help on Tein's. . .

Im planning to get a set of Tein coilovers. . What would be the best choice to go for:

Tein HA or CS?

I can get the HA for $1035
and the CS for $1350

Im also considering on getting the EDFC EDK01-12120 which is $380

Labor would cost me $130 for the coilovers and $75 for the EDFC

Is this a good price for everything?

Thanks in advance,
- Joe

which part of CA you in? if you are in south cali that's only ok price.

anyway, do you want comfort or performance? if you want comfort, the CS is very soft and good for what you need. the HA is very stiff if i have to put it. i have the HA btw, just coz' it's cheaper and i don't mind stiffer ride.

i got all my stuff from south cali,

HA - 1000
CS - 1250
install - 100
edfc - 350 (??)

everything is cash no tax, so that's the final price already if you pay cash right out.

Quik,

I just recently had to make the same decision; however, I opted for the Flex kit with the EDFC. From what I have read you can make the Flex PLENTY stiff for track driving, or near-stock soft for those times when you need to drive around with the wife and kids. The EDFC is just infinately cool too, so how could you pass it up? Rominl's prices are pretty much in line with what I payed...in fact, I took his advice and bought my stuff from the same shop he did I did pay a little less for the EDFC than he quoted, but the coilover and install prices are pretty spot-on. Drop me an e-mail if you want the address.

rominl, the Flex kit was on backorder but it should be in within the next few days...either way, I'm still waiting for my rims (20" Gettins). The ship date for the rims was set for today, so hopefully they will be here shortly as well Don't worry, I will post pics ASAP!

rominl, thanks for your reply. .. greatly appreciated. .

Those prices are pretty decent, I think the best i've seen so far. What about the flex kit? HOw much would that cost? Since everyone have the HA, I'm thinking about getting something better, since i've heard that the FLEX is the way to go. .

if member serves me right it's about 1450 installed or 1500? it's been a long time, but you can always call impex and quote the price. they are nice

How firm/harsh is the softest damper setting on the Tein Flex coilovers? Is it more similar to Lexus stock or the L-tuned suspension?

Make sure they are installed correctly. Download the English instructions from Tein's website and follow it precisely. If it's not installed right, you will get a messed up ride...
