Default aftermarket caliper replacements?

Hey cl I have got a quick question that i cant seem to find after searching.

im probably going to have to replace my front right caliper because it seems to be sticking a tid bit and is running hot when i put my hand near it after a drive.

I recently replaced the front pads and rotors and that helped but its still shaking.

When me and my buddy replaced the problem side pad and he pressed the calipers back in one of them gave us great difficulty. Im assuming that is the troublesome side.

So in a round about way of asking, what do you guys suggest for replacement calipers? Can i buy the Centric brand ones and just replace the both the fronts? or do i have to pony up for "lexus brand" ones from the dealerships for 300 dollars?

on a similar line of questioning, if i were to do the ls400 bbk upgrade could i buy the ls400 remanufactured calipers from, posiquiet, centric, etc??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just get a rebuild kit for 20.00 and rebuild them, I will never understand why people don't rebuild calipers it's easy!

Trust me you can do it!

How long do you think it would take to rebuild? An afternoon?

on that note it would be a good excuse to go to ls400 calipers. talk to aliga on the forums, he can hook you up with a good set of calipers for around $200, you will have to get new rotors and caliper bolts though. then again it is so worth it, the difference really is noticeable. gl either way.

Well the main problem with that is id also have to get some bigger wheels to you lear the calipers. I really want to do the big brake upgrade however those parts ill have to accumulate over time. In the mean time ill just rebuild the troublesome side caliper

i've got ichiba spacers on mine, you'll need to go atleast 15mm wider. check in the classifieds first. you might be able to get a set for a steal compared to new. *if you get ones that have extended lugs vs bolt on spacer... when installing the new lugs use the lug nuts to pull in the lugs. this will balance the lugs and will make things a lot easier (especially if you have an impact wrench.) gl
