Question on suspension for 95 sc400
Hello
sorry if this is in a post somewhere already.
wondering if I could get a little info and direction.
I have a 95 SC400 and it is need of struts. I am wondering what the best aftermarket struts would be. I would like to go with the original Lexus struts, but after calling the dealer, they are 3 times the price for everything compared to aftermarket.
I plan on getting mounts, sway bar links, struts. do I need to get the springs also? it has 155k mile s on it.
I was looking at KYB, Monroe, or Tokico.
I am just interested in the best factory setup. no interested in lowering or anything else.
I also called Toyota to get prices, and they said they don't have anything that crosses over to the SC400. I was thinking that the Supera, or solara would. is this correct or wrong?
Thanks for all your help, and suggestions.
Dan

Dan, your best bet is to buy the Tokico blues and your stock springs hardly ever wear out. I would replace the top hats or strut mounts while you have them apart. if you cant find them local there are many aftermarket companies out there and Ebay is your best friend. If you want to do local, Monroe isn't bad, warranty is great and you will get them overnight ed to you for nothing...
If you have trouble removing the sway bar link, just loosen the control bolts and swing them downward.
