Exclamation Desperately NEED YOUR HELP

First off, I would like to thank you in advance for your comments and esp. the community of this forum -the support has been amazing and everyone's advice/comments has been really productive from what i read in the existing threads which intrinsically helped me. I'm reaching out today because I am at a complete loss and hoping someone can help.

Took my 06 IS250 in today. Dealer diagnose the car =brake master cylinder leakage into brake booster. With that said I checked if there was a recall for that which there is. Spoke to the Lexus Customer Satisfaction Rep and said that even tho my car's diagnostic& symptoms parallel to the recall exactly, that code does not exist with my car's vin... What?! That's highly suspicious, nonetheless that's a major repair i never had to face with my other vehicles , except for usual maintenance+ wear and tear -being lifelong toyota/lexus owners. (have a 95 tacoma 200K+ miles still runs like a dream)

This expense for this repair is massive! I don't understand how i can have the exact same problem with a recall in effect but still not qualify for it. PLEASE HELP??? AM I AT THEIR MERCY?? ANYTHING I CAN DO TO FIGHT THIS?? Currently being disputed and transferred to a department specialist which they might not do anything and tell me I have to pay the bill

Please feel free to email vital information: linnasok@hotmail.com

When did you start to own this IS250? In 2010-2011 they should have sent a letter to you to have the recall completed. They call it the master cylinder seal or "cup" recall. I had this recall done on my 350 in April '11 after I purchased it...along with the fuel pressure sensor torque recall.

According to the link below only select models in the years listed will have the recall done. Perhaps they pulled your VIN and it wasn't within the range of 250s that they deemed necessary to have the recall performed on. If this is the case, I would call Lexus Customer Care (1-800-255-3987) and tell them your experience. Personally I would ask the techs at your Lexus dealership what the range of VINs might be so you can determine if you definitely don't or do fall within that range. I couldn't find out those details myself on the net.

Thanks for referencing the site that was how i found the forum.

Purchased from orig owner beginning 2012. The letter was not sent because like you said the car did not "fall in range"...I dont understand how the problem is identical but still theres no accountability. Want to know what are my chances of getting this resolved in my favor if possible??

I did get the fuel sensor recall done and that just so happen to pop up when i went in to do an oil change.

And thanks! Already called LCS and she said she's transferring the matter to a department specialist. Has anyone else experience this problem and what the resolution was?????

Ask what that "range" would be so you can determine for yourself to see.

If you are definitely not in that range, then I would push it back again on Lexus Customer Care about assuming the cost under good-will, since the problem is identical to the recall description online.

^Do you remember if you had any CELs on the cluster during the time when the brakes were "gone'?
