Default maintaining big brakes

Hey ya'll. got a question for those of you with big brake systems

I just had a local shop check out my bimbos to see if they were warped and the guy said a slight pulsation in the brake pedal is normal since these are racing brakes and are meant to be pounded on. He later told me that they should be maintained on almost a daily basis. So here's what he said I should do

1. get the brakes up to temperature
2. apply medium to hard pressure from 50-0 and then let it rest for a minute
3. repeat step 2 a few times and all done

Anyone wanna confirm this?

not sure about the method you talk about, but i wouldn't brake to 0, maybe 10 or 5, at least leave the car rolling a little bit?

also, maintaining the brakes is important, when i got my ap racing they did tell me to check up the brakes every oil change, that's the minimum

depend on the pad that you use, it's NOT the brake.
Some racing pad are designed to run at certain temperature, ie they don't work well when cold, performance pad work well at higher temp range. Most pad will work on all condition, (except extreme heat). it's the pads

for exampe, EBC GREEN pad is made for light duty race application, ie it's the closet the stock pad, just has some better characteristic. but if you get the RED, YELLOW or BLUE, then you have to take care of proper warm up.....
