Angry Supra Strut Bar Dont Fit@!

I recently brought Front Supra Strut Bar from Ebay and it doesn't fit my SC400! I took the emblem off and everything it just doesn't clear the engine..Why does the engine have to be so damn big?!

Any suggestions on which SUPRA strut bars fit on the SC400? or any strut bar at all will be nice..

Reminder: I don't wanna spend a bundle..I'm still on a budget..Thanks guys

does your car have a stock black piece ( like a giant washer with 3 holes in it ) where the mounts are? Mines does, and I just installed the strut on top of them.

It doesnt clear the engine! The only way it will clear it is if the engine wasn't so high up..Can you take a pic of your strut bar and post it up for me..I think that would be most helpful! Thanks bro

a Supra TT strut bar should fit. Remove the emblem on top of the engine bay though, because the bar would break it off eventually.

93-97 Supra TT should fit on 92-95 SC400 I think...

Would you guys be interested in a custom made strut bar for the SC400, and SC300? If so, let me know so that I can talk to LS400.
I had one made for the Legends...I can provide feedback on how those worked out from the customers. Click my sig picture to go to my store [its the small window that opens up]

Please keep in mind I am not trying to do a gb...this is just to see how many folks are interested.

picture of custom Legend Strut Bar

AWESOME improvement in handling, show quality.

legend, that looks good. i don't even need the fancy look, as long as the strut bar would 'work', i'd be interested. how much are we talkin about here?

I tried to fit a TRD one on my 300 and it wouldn't fit. So not all TT braces will fit.

is there a certain make/model of supra bars that will fit? im looking to improve my handling with a quick and easy installation like that. if i have to, ill get the strut bar from lexuspros.com that sells for 200, but if i can find a supra one that will fit ill of course look into that. seems like some supra bars fit and others wont? im talking about with the engine cover off, like in the picture above.

scpower300,

Depends on the bar.

You need to test fit them, they all have clearance issues with the intake manifold. Flatter designs work better.

Thumbs up

Wow Sc4oo, all of your black engine covers have turned yellow! How'd you do that? And how do you keep the dirt from showing on it?

Also, I recall a post saying the SC is so solid, that a front strut bar does not appreciably stiffen the chassis. Since you've tried it both ways, what do you think?

Perry: A little bit of ceramic paint and wire looms/silicone hoses... The dirt doesn't stain the paint... It is engine paint, I just use a rag and wipe it off and some simple green.

I don't feel a big difference, it just looks better IMO.
