Default Ultra Racing Front Strut Tower Bar on GS400

Just installed my Ultra Racing Front Strut Tower Bar on the GS 400.
This is from ebay, and it looks well made and is a full-welded member no pivots.
I purchased the one described as "Aristo 3.0 T Front Strut bar. '00" UR-TW2-928

The 400 and 430 have the same engine.

Looks good but its doesnt seem as strong as the other ones. ex. the trd on is just one beefy bar. lol

but than this one is better than the other ones that they sell on ebay. the adjustable ones. those are no good.
from what i know, the more pieces you have to the bar the weaker it gets.

I will post a better picture of the Engine cover clearance.

Also, this seems to have completely eliminated the small tick, clunk sound during braking I was hearing...
I had already replaced the LCA No.2, Lwr Ball Joint, Tie-Rods, and Front sway bar bushings. I was still hearing the click during braking and while turning and braking. Now with this Front Strut brace it is completely gone.
This leads me to believe that the click and thunk can be caused by worn Front Shocks and or the Shock reinforcement rings on the Front shocks. Not really sure, but all I can say is that it is completely gone for now.

Agreed, TRD is the best or the Carson Tuned, but for the price this is a good one for now.

Don't see much of a difference/improvement with the strut bar on these cars. The swaybars are the night and day difference

But it looks to have solved my clunk/tick noise during braking for now, so thats enough to keep it on. It should help stiffen up the chassis, but nothing noticeable for most driving conditions. Basically I guess this means my Front shocks almost need replacement since its helping something up there, I'm at 90K.

^^ really now? Ive read the 430 sits higher than the 400 that's why there's so much trouble getting a tower bar to fit

yes, really now. i think it sits 4mm higher, which isnt a big enough deal to really matter 99.9% of the time. i can think of 3 strut bars i have used on my GS430 all which have cleared my engine cover with no issues. most quality made SB will clear this

the Carbing fit, the Carson Carbing Styled one fit, and my RMM bar fits ALL with no issues. i have seen others use other bars without issues either

My Tein bar serves its purpose.... Yes a solid mound maybe better but the others do work...

I took three quick measurements of the UR bar on the GS400 engine. Keep in mind that I removed the Rings that were on the Shock Towers (shock reinforcement), that lowered the Strut brace by about an extra 3mm. If I would have left the Shock reinforcement rings on, the Strut bar would sit that much higher (guessing about 3mm) I am not sure if the GS430 has the strut reinforcement rings though.

Based on this it looks like it clears by 15-30mm.
RH Side Clearance

LH Side Clearance

Near the Center Intake Manifold
