Default Bad vibration at 65mph(It's not the balance)

UPDATE:Aug 27-replaced the differential, opened up the old one to find a few of the spider gears are ate up.Overall the "main"noise and tramlining are mostly gone but,now I have this little tingy-ting ting noise still coming from the rear?Ideas?

UPDATE: Aug14.we got it on a lift and found out that the diffrential bearing is gone. It's on the driver side there is quite a bit of play from the CV and diff now I have to source a used diff since ....thanks anyways guys for the input

Car is a 93 SC300 5 spd 130k miles.Started about 4 months ago and progressively has gotten worse but,the rear passenger side has a very bad vibration which starts at 65mph and peaks at 70mph.Best way to describe it is a very bad off balance/heavy vibration coming from the rear passenger. The wheels are staggered 18's they have all been balanced twice(different places)in the last four months. My fathers an engineer and thinks it might be coming from the drive shaft but,I'm lost at what it might be.I checked for loose bolts, diagnosing bad bearings etc. There's no vibration in the steering wheel just the car itself.Anyone?

Thanks for reading.

Did you install hubrings when you put on the rims?

The wheels were on the car when I bought it 3 yrs ago without hub rings but, about a year ago I added some hub rings trying to diagnose another problem with no change.

Check your differential ear bushings and inspect them closely as this can be a very tough problem to diagnose .

I read that and I have a question. Shifting into neutral will still keep the drive shaft spinning since it's still directly connected to the rear differential/axles/wheels?

That was a good read Tabaka. All the symptoms I read seem to be targeted towards the drive line. I'll do the tests tomorrow.Btw would you be able to feel or see if the U-joints/bearings are bad if I got under it?Should there be any give or is it solid?

yeah, check your drive shaft first, then check your rear passenger side upper control arm, It's probably the control arm bushing gone, just went thru the same problem. my rear pass upper control arm bushing was gone, redoing the whole car soon as the parts come in, needed it anyway since my car has over 310k in miles with original engine tranny everything still oem. good luck
