1993 sc300 abs system
Hello,
I am interested in learning more about the abs setup in an sc300. If anyone has any diagrams or information that they would like to contribute I would really appreciate that. I am trying to figure out if all 4 lines go through it, or if just the front wheels have abs. If all 4 wheels have it, can you bypass the abs system for the rear wheels and keep abs for the front wheels? or would this cause problems.
Your probably wondering why, and the reason is that I am planning on installing a handbrake and I would like to thoroughly know all the information about it before I make a decision.
Thanks
Scott

Same here, I just wanted to delete the system completely due to the ugliness in my engine bay. I'm sure the only thing you'll deal with is dash light issue. Thinking about it, if the system fails, you wouldn't be stuck on the side of the road thinking WTF over ABS. I took it all out and gonna run a 240sx master cylinder, (3 ports instead of 2) use one port to the rear brakes and run 2 lines for the fronts. Idk if this is gonna work or not and hopefully it's somewhat of an idea for ya.

that is a good idea, I have a 240sx also which I am currently rebuilding (I just put the brake system back together with q45 calipers.
My only questions would be bias. Ive heard people say things about different mcs from diff cars having different front/rear bias built in, and I guess if it is about the same as a 240, it should work
anyways
let me know how that goes
thanks

regarding my 240 that i was talking about earlier, i parted it out, but i still have the 240 bmc and booster, so if that is a good alternative that is something i can do. I also have a brake line "T" from the rear of the car, so if I am able to get another "T" from the junkyard, i can join the two sc300 rear brake lines into 1, have that 1 go through the hydro, and then back into the second "T" and into each rear caliper
I guess is would be a good idea to delete the abs in the front two brake lines at the same time as well. hopefully ill get around to this soon, ive just been busy repairing other things on my car and getting it drivable again.
EDIT: I have completed the abs delete. I used a "T" to fork out for the two front brakes and I the single rear brake line from bmc to the rear of the car where it then forks for the two brakes.
Just to confirm, is this picture correct
