Help! Destroyed tires - IS250 AWD on F-Sport Combo
Hi all,
I have a IS250 AWD lowered on F-Sport shocks and springs and today had to replace all 4 of my tires because they were stripped down to the wire.
I had an alignment done after I got the shocks/springs installed about 15k miles ago.
Is this type of wear normal? How can I fix it in the future?
Thanks!

Got a shop which specializes in alignments. The dealer most of the time doesn't have the proper expertise and mainly would match the lights or try to.
The dedicated shops would go further and fine tune it which also includes adjusting the geometry/sub-frame of the vehicle.
If done properly, the car would be be experiencing outwear as compared to inner.
Do you have your previous alignment report to show us?

Without lowering these cars are notorious for wearing tires. i just replaced 4 tires with 19k and they were bald and that is normal.... Sucks but its the price to pay for a "SPORTS CAR"

I need an alignment on my car as well. But one thing to note, even when I took it to Longo Lexus, Jimmy told me the dealership can never get the alignment right with aftermarket set ups. That's what made me hesitate to take it to them. I need new tires in about 3000 miles so I am just waiting until then, and then taking it to a well known alignment shop and get it done while, hopefully, putting on my new set up and rims.

Simply by looking at it, it doesn't look like a good alignment. Can tell because the numbers between left and right are not balanced or close to each other.
In comparison of my report, your an see it. Also notice all my numbers have more precision. Also recently, the alignment shop gotten a new alignment machine too has some new advanced features in it in comparison to the one they have too even thou that machine is also great.

Depends on the info they have.
What place did you go to? Simply by looking at it, this shop didn't do a good job either as they do not specialize in alignments. The numbers between left and right are not identical/close and in fact your rear right camber is out of spec.

They said that the rear right is not adjustable. Sounded off at the time. Thoughts?
Went to Firestone. :/
Choice was that or the dealer since I had to get an alignment fairly quickly. Didn't have time to seek out a speciality shop.

You need a specialty shop.
The camber is not adjustable on the cars, which Firestone said is true. Without the correct expertise, they will only adjust what the car has. This does not factor in, that there are other components in the suspension system, which with the correct experience, can correct the geometry of the vehicle/sub-frame of the vehicle to be able to be able to indirectly adjust the non-adjustable components.
Without correcting the geometry of the vehicle first, your vehicle will not be correctly aligned as your report shows. If you look at my two reports for both AWD and RWD, you noticed my cambers changed and everything else seems to be relatively close to each other between left and right.

Yeah. I noticed. I am going to go to eurotire here in NJ - seems that they are the best alignment shop in the area.
On a side note, post new tire install and latest alignment my average MPG has dropped from 24 to 17. Thoughts?
