So H&R + Stock Shocks are good for daily driving?
I have 09 IS250 AWD on stock struts with H&R springs
My route to work is horrible x10 and i'm surviving on this setup
doesn't feel much different than before, definitely a little bit stiffer but that's how I like it
I have had these installed for a month now and after some settling I have noticed bumps more than before. I am running H&R Springs with stock shocks, though the ride is still good I just wished I didn't notice each bump I ride over.
I've run H&R's for over 80k miles now. Originally with the stock shocks was the best ride. My stockers blew out after about 10k miles though. Then ran with F-sports, the ride was much bumpier than with the stockers. Now running with Tokiko's and they are inbetween the F-sports and stock.
Here is my experience:
Ride comfort:
1. Stock
2. Tokiko
3. F-sport
Endurance:
1. F-sport - 60k miles and were good when I took them off.
2. Tokiko - 30k miles and still going.
3. Stock - 20k miles (only 10k on H&R's)
Hey guys do you know of this set up will shorten the life of the stock shocks or void warranty? I wouldn't consider this THAT aggressive, but I'm just checking as my car is 2011 and dont want any issues.
I'm sure it'll shorten the life of the stock shocks. Not sure by how much though. I haven't had any problems so far. Only had them for about 2k though.
Been running this set up now for about 5k miles. I would definitely recommend it to anyone, rides very similar to stock but you'll just notice some bumps more.
