Default Front lower control arms

i know this has been discussed a few times and researched on here.

wasnt quite sure still. but i have a 98 SC400 from what i read it says that the 97-00 front lower control arm's are different from the 92-96?.
but this thread a member on here says that the conrtol arms are the same?
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sus...l?ref=esp-link

and if they are. are they the same as the 93-98 supra?

i want to go a head and change the whole control arm with the lower ball joint.

i was looking into just getting Daizen bushings but it kinda sounds like the lower ball joing isnt replaceable?

and every where else i look for just bushings i cant find any for 97-00 SC400 but i can find them all day for the 92-96.

hpoe to hear from you guys. thanks!

They are not the same, 97-00 are not the same as 92-96, I have been through this and found out the hard way that the bushings are NOT interchangeable I have a post somewhere on here with pics that shows in detail why.

Unfortunately the Supra LCA's don't work on the 97-00.
I just replaced them on my 99 and had to pony up for the
expensive Lexus LCA's

I've installed new oem 95 supra FLCAs on my 97 SC300 without a problem. Maybe it's 98-00 that was different? I know the 97-98 supra control arms are aluminum so they cost more than the pre97 supras.

from what i under stand its the bushing seat that makes it different. i saw a thread on here on how to convert it to the 92-96 style. but id have to search for it again.

No supra ever came with an aluminum LCA.

Just a softer bushing (or so I was told, seems ***-backwards to me)

Are you sure of this? I know it was a problem fitting the aftermarket bushings in the 99-00 arms, because of the different sizing of the barrels on the arms, but supposedly the width is the same and should accept Supra LCAs. Did you physically try installing a Supra LCA to your car or is that what someone told you?

There should be a once & for all sticky on this. For info "supposedly" these are the softer OEM bushings that dealers always say are not available, these are from www.Lexuspartsnow.com
Included is the plastic stopper insert that always gets messed up. These bushings are significantly more expensive then the Daizens or Prothane http://www.prothanesuspensionparts.com - http://www.daizensporttuning.com/model/lexus-sc.html

i have prothane lca/uca bushings + the aluminum sleeves so you dont have to burn the old ones out + prothane ball joints.

so, yes you can replace the ball joints.

but im selling all of those, still in box never been used btw

sure:

ball joint replacement:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sus...hat-works.html

aluminum sleeves needed:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sus...de-w-pics.html

These are the parts i have:
2x Energy Suspension 9-13130G Ball Joint Boots (these come in pairs, replaces ball joints upper/lower)
1x Prothane 18207 Front Control Arm Bushings (kit for upper/lower of both sides bushings)
1x Aluminum LCA inner sleeves (full set for both LCAs)

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sus...g-inserts.html

im selling my car and when i checked the bushings were still in good shape so i decided not to proceed with changing them out. Ill sell it all for $110 shipped paypal included.. sorry to jack the thread :P
