I think you might be confused about what the sport suspension is.

The sport suspension came on the car from the factory 06-10 in the US on cars with the Sport package (or 07-09 with the X package). A suspension that appears to be identical (but has different part #s) comes on 2011+ F-sport cars from the factory- which is horribly named since it doesn't actually come with any F-sport accessory parts.

This suspension has linear springs and does not change ride height at all in the rear. It lowers the car 0.4 inches in the front.

There's also a line of aftermarket accessories sold by Lexus called "F-sport accessories" which include shocks and springs which are not the same parts.

These springs lower the car 1" and 0.8 inches front and rear and are not linear. (the shocks are also different from the sport suspension parts).

Personally for handling/performance purposes I'd rather have the real sport suspension parts.

For looks some prefer the lower F-sport accessory parts.

Either sets of shocks/springs will bolt on directly, as that's the car they're designed for.

this is what he had in the add that i was looking at.

These are from a SPORT PACKAGE IS350 so they are 1" Lower than all other IS350 suspension setup from the factory. Included are all 4 shocks / Springs / top hats full assembled (I never took them apart). YES these are a direct swap to any 2006, 2007, 2008 Lexus IS350 and it will make your car 1" lower than it currently is and slightly stiffer.

then the guy writing the ad doesn't actually understand what he's selling.

Because as I explained, the actual 2008 sport package only lowers the car 0.4 inches front and not at all in the rear.

(but it is firmer than the non-sport suspension all around)

Ask for pictures before you meet up in person to save yourself some time and fuel.

Interested in installing the shock / springs from 2006 - 2010 IS 350 RWD equipped with the ST - Sport or X package with Sport Tuned suspension. What additional parts would also be needed from sport tuned vehicle, that would be different from base model (front upper mounts with insulator, lower spring insulator, rear upper and lower spring insulators and bump stops etc.)?, to fully take advantage of the Sport Tuned suspension? Any additional information would be much appreciated!
