Default Öhlins Road & Track

So I was just browsing and came across this: http://www.ohlinsusa.com/road-track-tech
Looks like they make a kit for the IS models as well. Hmmm, maybe it's time to trade in the tanabe's... Anybody know anymore information about these?

You know, I've got some questions about those too. I looked them up and seen that it was only shocks and springs. No dampening. Don't remember if it was height adjustable. And you would also have to use OEM top hats like tanabes.

Just a suggestion, you should check RS-r they got three different lines of coilovers for our cars. And they are top quality like Ohlins.

From the site:

"This balanced suspension package provides racetrack performance with street comfort, and features conventional shocks both front and rear. Each front shock includes top mount, height adjustor, preload adjustor, length adjustor (15mm lower than stock), single bleed adjustor, model-specific spring rates, and dust covers."

It says it has conventional shocks but it has height and preload adjustments? Call me confused

Well, I just called them and the guy told me that they were a full coilover kit. They retain the OEM top mounts for the rear only. He also said that instead of adjusting the ride height by compressing the spring, they adjust by moving some type of an adjuster that makes the actual body of the shock increase or decrease. So, yeah, they are height adjustable. He also said the damping was adjustable like the tanabes from the top where you can adjust the stiffness to your liking.

Oh, nice! I guess it is time to switch coilovers! Update us with pics.

Ohlins makes very nice stuff. We can get it for those interested, but as you guys can see, they aren't cheap

Can't go wrong with Ohlins stuff, some of the best shocks you can get for motorcycles so i imagine their quality will be same for their car stuff

For those who are fortunate enough to buy them, I seriously hope you don't slam your car. It would be such a waste to do so!

At that price you could get a custom Penske setup...almost.
