SPC ball joints clunking!
Just got SPC ball joints installed and car aligned. When I go go up/down a driveway (with wheel turned) and on 2 occasions just went in reverse I heard clunking a loud clunking noise from the front. I'm lowered on megan coil overs (lowered 2 inches) and 25 inches off. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this before I take it back to the shop? Thank you

Yea, that's the problem when U put the ball joints on,and u lowered ur car. I dont know what it is. I still keep them in my trunk havnt put those on my car. I dont know if stiffer coils would help this. wait for someone chime in. Good luck

Did a little investigating and I think I found the problem. The nut on the top plate of the ball joint was most likely not torqued properly causing ball joint to slide on the slide plate. I looked at the joint and saw what they position they were in, I turned my wheels, heard a loud clunk, went back to look at what position they were in, lo and behold; the ball joint slid all the way to one end which caused the clunk. I will be taking it back to the shop on Monday and they better fix it!!!!!
I hope the nut doesn't fall off! Thanks guys for the help!

Went back to shop, got ball joints torqued and so far so good. No more clunking. Hope is stays that way. For those who plan on getting the SPC ball joints, make sure the shop reads the instructions and make sure they TORQUE THE NUT!!!!
