Default LS400 caliper upgrade & rebuild

Just got my LS400 front calipers in the mail today. I plan on rebuilding them since they look a little crusty, and i cant put them on now anyway with stock wheels. Ive searched but cant find anything about rebuilding the 95+ calipers.

So my question is can anyone give me some pointers on rebuilding them? Any and all advice is appreciated!
-First off I want to purchase the repair/ rebuild kit but im not too sure the difference between them. Is this all thats needed for each caliper? http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=878351
-What else should I purchase for the rebuild?
-Anything specific to look out for while rebuilding?
-No hardware came with the calipers, So id like to get the proper bolts as well.
-Also going with SS lines, any brand recommended?
-Plan on going with drilled/slotted rotors, any recommendations or preferences?

Gunna try to start cleaning them up today. Tried to take a few pics while i was rushing for work, so theyre not the greatest. I can post better ones later if need be.

i bought the beck kit, came with piston seal, boot, wire hold down,i also bought new hardware for the pads, pins, clip, etc.as for removing the pistons,i removed the brake line from the calipers and used an air nozzle to blow compressed air into the fitting until the pistons popped out. yours might take some persuasion looks pretty rough.have fun with it

did some more work before. attempted to clean the calipers but i was barely making a dent with the brake cleaner. theyre gunna need some serious work to clean off. the only things that came out somewhat clean are the pins and clips. also took the piston boots off and the inside of them looked almost new. the only rebuild kit i found was the centric one so im going to order those soon. i think im going to need a new shim kit as well so tht will be on the list

Finally popped the pistons out to clean em today. i used an air gun with a rubber nozzle and shot one out, clamped it, shot the next out, etc. took maybe 20 mins.
the pistons started to rust, but its only on the inside of the piston and on the top part. i began cleaning them with wd-40 and a small wire brush to get the inside of the piston and the indentation on the side.

Once i clean them up and get all the rust off, are these pistons going to be okay to reuse? im just worried that the rust ate away too much. No rust has gone below the middle piston in the first picture. that bottom cylinder is clear of rust on all pistons.

I got a little bit done over the past couple days. i sprayed the calipers down with a degreaser, let it sit for maybe 15 minutes and a good amount of dirt came off when i wiped em down. They still need a little work though.

The pistons and hardware are cleaned up for the most part. Can anyone help me out and tell me if the pitting in the pistons will be a problem? The rust was pretty thick in some parts..

glad to have helped you.

im going to end up just using the pistons once i get the rebuild kit and start putting it all together. I figured that if there were any problems that i can just take them to autozone and get a remanufactured kit.
