Default Coilover suggestions??

Ok, so I'm in the market for coilovers (preferably with adjustable dampers) for my GS400 and I can't figure out what to go with. I would like something that is going to still have a smooth ride to it, but I don't want the spungy/smooshie feeling.. What kind of spring rates should I be looking for.. ?

And at the moment money isn't a big issue, but I'd like to stay under $1100..
If it matters, I'm going to be running on 19x9 19x10 +24

My opinion....BC Racing coilovers.

They are just under $1k, they have the best ride quality and overall performance IMO of the $1k range coilovers. they are easy to maintain and rebuild and have good support. They also drop really low if you want that.

We can do a custom kit for you on them as well depending on your wants/needs. Just shoot us a PM and we can help

I am not the seller, but it would be good to keep the goods in the GS community.......
These are normally almost 2k brand new.....if I had 1k I would buy them.

Buy HSD or Stance. BEST bang for buck coilover, that provide a good ride and are quality built. Not made in China junk like BC or Megan.

Yeah a friend of mine told me the same about the Stance coilovers.. For the Super Sport's (which are the only ones they offer for the GS) they have a spring rate of 14k/10k, is that gonna be a little on the stiff side?

I've never heard of the HSD's though.. New company? And are they based out of Europe?

They're actually 1300 new..

1k is a good price for the PBM's though. I'd go for it personally.

I'm a big fan of Tein coils. I'm running the advanced on my daily, its currently about three and a half inches lower than stock (slightly tucks tire on all four corners), the ride is very nice almost stock like minus all the floating.
