Default axxis brake pads not made to oem spec

Installed a set of axxis ceramic front brake pads... Started to here a knock everytime I hit the brake. Had my mechanic check the anti rattle clips and everything was good they told me that the pads are a lil different then the oem ones this causes them to move around and cause this knocking noise... Any one experience this? Figured I'd put it out there...

I've said before and I'll say it first that the OEM specs for our brakes aren't that great to begin with. So using that as your standard isn't saying much.

Here's a post again of the picture of our pad. You're missing like 50% of the surface area.

google image search partnumber 04465-22312

That being said, did you reuse the clips? Always replace them on our cars, it's like less than $10. You don't need the expensive OEM clips. Even if they "look" good, they might not be holding right. Even OEM replacements clunk on the first braking if you didn't replace clips.

Did your brakes come with their own shims?

If the clunk is happening everytime though, versus just the first time after coming from reverse seems like a more serious problem or really degraded clips.
If you're paying someone to redo the brake job, you may want to just forget it and try different pads.

I'm def gonna go back to oem pads... The clunk is only after I hit a bump and brake or go from reverse to foward... Not that big of a deal just wanted to see if anyone else ran into this prob with these pads and if not give people a heads up that were thinking about buying them...

Yea, always stay with OEM pads unless you upgrade to bbk.
