Question Differences between, JZS160L / UZS160L

Would like to know what are the differences between JZS160L and UZS160L. I take it that the JZS160L( is this the the GS300 with a six cylinder) and UZS160L ( is this the GS400 with a eight Cylinder) was only the engine and all the body suspension is the same?

aside from the engines, the UZS had different spring rates and shock valving up front for the extra weight of the V8. Additionally, the v8 models had a different final drive gear ratio, I believe 2.93 (could be wrong there) while the i6 model had a 3.92 to make up for the lack of power and torque (my stock 300 dynod at ~170rwhp when I had it) in such a heavy car.

Those are all the differences between the two that I know of. Everything else is identical.

Thanks for your reply, I was under the same impression. So that anything for the suspension other than what you pointed out is or should be the same, like bushings and such. That is great. Thanks

thats actually incorrect. the V8 models aluminum block and aluminum cylinder heads weigh very close to the heavy 2JZ cast iron motor and as far as i remember the spring rates/shocks are all the same for all models of the GS

OP if u will search there are MANY threads covering the differences
