For you 2nd gen guys that are slammed on coils, do you run into issues where the upper control arms hits/bangs the fenderwell? I know the IS300s have this problem if you're too low.

^Yep, but only on the worst potholes or bad bumps if caught going to fast over. If dead-set on being LOW, the solution is to cut a hole in the shock tower : https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...wer-holes.html

Might I add to this DIY that you'll want to put a vacuum running right next to the running hole saw to catch most of those metal shavings.

I wouldn't do that drilling until I made sure you had that problem. I was slammed in 20's and never ran into that issue. my pics are on the early pages of this thread.

That's good to know that some owners don't have that problem. I figured that spring rates would also be an important factor. If anything, I was going to order coils with customer (higher) spring rates to make a ride stiffer to avoid that problem.

Hey everyone,
Im looking into buying a set of bc coils for my 250 awd, and am wondering if anyones experienced any abnormal tire wear after installing them...

Im looking into a camber kit front and rear but am unsure if its entirely necessary..

Im looking at a 3" drop, running 18x8.5 225/40/18

Theres a company called T-Demand that makes shorter knuckles. This lowers the UCA so it doesnt hit the top.

If you check out my build thread, I am on shortened steering knuckles to not only go lower but to prevent the UCA from hitting the shock tower. We can make these to order, and even paint them custom colors. PM me for details and cost. And they are WAY cheaper than the ridiculous T-Demand prices...LMK

I know its off the topic but i need help. It will be my firstime dealing with coilovers .
I'm thingking to get coilovers for my 2010 is250 RWD w / 18x8.5 F & 18x9.5 R . Now I'm on H&R springs which lowered 1.5" F & 0.8 R .
I like the front lowered with a finger gap between tire & fender but the rear still lil to high ( 11/2-2 fingers gap ) .
Im running 225/40/18 F & 235/40/18 rear.
1 : If i want to buy the BCR coilovers , just buy as is or Do i need to get stiffer springs rate ?
2 : I dont know how much drop it will be if i want a finger gap between so Do i need FRONT & REAR camber kit ?
