Question Anybody with Tein Springs with No Camber Kit????

I took my car to the shop for an alignment and was told they couldn't get it to spec.

Was wondering if anyone else has Tein Springs (stech) with KYB GR2 struts and no camber kit. If so were you able to get a correct alignment?

If you have a camber kit what do you have? Fronts? Rears? Upper or Lower? Both?

I need help so I can decide what to do.

Thanks!

Ken

i had Bilstein and DF210's before and i was able to get it aligned in spec using the factory adjustments.
the teins dont go as low as the DF210, so i dont see why they cant align it without aftermarket camber kit.
thry going to another shop...

Thanks for the input. the shop mentioned that he couldn't get the front LCA loose and he didn't want to force it in case it broke. He also mentioned that if he could get it off without breaking the bolt, its possible that I might need new arms if the bushing is bad.

I've been reading about possibly just replacing the bushing and thinking about doing it myself, but I don't have a press or compressor tools. Don't want to get stuck not being able to take something off or putting it together with the right torque.

Does anyone know how much torque a person can do physically without impact tools?

I went to many shops for quotes on alignments and they all said i needed camber kits- but any real performance shop with the latest alignment gear can get it to work.

dumb as it sounds, take it to a firestone or one of those places. They typically have a laser alignment rack and the guys have been trained. Either that or find a reputable indy that knows what they're doing.

^^ THIS!!

they are either bull****ting u or they just dont know how to do it or are just too lazy

u should be able to get correct specs or at least zero out the toe

this is what gets me mad about most alignment shops once u are low. they drop your car in, make everything "green" and get you in and out quickly so they can make their money.

do you have a town fair tire near you? Any shop like that that actually sells plus size wheels and tires should be able to. NTB probably doesn't have the equipment to align a car with wheels over 18"

Your right on with NTB...they said they would just align with my factory 16 and then put my 19's after the alignment is done.

There is a TFT near me so I'll give them a call tomorrow.
