Default Figs Outer Tie rod ends VS stock Mags

I noticed on the shopfigs.com webpage the remark " NOTE: since there is no indentation for stock wheel clearance, only wheels with an inner rim that will be 10-15mm(depending on spacer setting) more negative (outward) will work."

Im using the origional stock 17" 5 spokes on my GS 400. Can someone show me a pic of where the interference is that I can't use these tie rods? Or is it that once the car is equiped with other lowering parts (rca's, coil overs or bags, ect) that I can no longer use them?

Or is it as simple as adding a 15 mm spacer and then i'm ok?

Being French Canadian I guess I see everything backwards so please help a fella out, thanks

i should have read as well, the issue is that the figs outer tie rod ends replace the stock ball joint with a sherical joint but a long bolt with adjusable insertable spacers. this long bolt, though idea is sound, is only meant if you are not running any RCA's.

im running front RCA's to clear my ls400 calipers. thus they are pushed down even further. so far, my 20s seem to clear it, but i know for sure my stock 17s wont. one thing i may do is cut the bottom part of the bolt, and since i have the RCAs already, wont need as many ring spacers to make the tie rod horizontal to the steering rack.

also noted was that the top of that bolt also doesnt sit flush to the stock lower ball joint. i replaced mine at the same time as they are known to fail, the tapper of the stock lower ball joint doesnt not sit flush to the tie rod bolt. will have to either tapper the lower ball joint arm, or the bolt on the tie rod.

just some things i noted, design is nice, but just a couple of fine points, multiple aftermarket parts clashing.
