Thumbs down My Supra TT brakes driving me Crazy!!

I've done the Supra TT brake upgrade about 5 months ago.
Ever since i've put them on, nothing but trouble.

First i find out they don't fit on Stock Gs400 rims, found that after buying it My stupidity

Got the H&R 15mm Spacers from Rod Millen.
Brembo cross-drilled rotors from Suprastore.com <----never buy again from these morans ever again. They told me it will fit on stock gs rims.

anyways, my problem is this....

just after 1 week after the setup my rotors warped, again these morans gave me projet MU pads to run on those rotors and as a result they warped. (aggressive pads just like HAWK racing)

Next i got KVR cross drilled, slotted rotors, CAD plated, also Crawl soaked (not sure of spelling) (suppositly make your rotors last 2 to 3 times as long and cause them to be a little more aggressive)

THese brakes saved my *** enough times, have nothing bad to say about the performance aspect, but Damn, again i feel like my rotors are warping, they give pure steering vibrations everytime i press the peddle. I can tell its happening again.

Help, i've spend enough money on this crap. What am I supposed to do? I can't go bigger brakes like stillen 6 piston or 4 piston because they don't fit in stock rims and i'm worried for winter in which i use them.
For summer i'm on 19's.
Can't take this no more please help!!!!.

Does everyone have this much trouble?????

wow 15mm spacer, that's quite thick. have you checked to make sure the spacers are still in good condition? how about the 5 stuts (sp?) that holds the rims, good? it's hard to believe the rotors warp so fast. this is what i would do to check it out:

1) are the pads ok?
2) what's the torque on the wheel lugs now?
3) are the spacers still good?
4) how about the stuts?
5) how bad the rotors are now?

i guess my major concern is the 15mm spacer with the stock wheels, that's really thick. too bad you can't go with the ap racing coz' you have to stay with stock wheels

How are you on you rotors? Are you driving hard (like a canyon run) and then SITTING on the brakes at the end? Don't do that.

Also, you MUST brake in rotors properly. You can't install new rotors and pads and then just go drive around like normal...

A good chunk of brake warpage problems are from improper break-in procedures...what you should do is drive around and GENTLY brake...for the first 10 miles or so, get up to about 60 mph and then slow down to 30 mph...then speed back up to 60 then slow down to 30 mph...just repeat that about 6 times...then let it cool for a few minutes and do it again...until you hit about 10 miles...then for the next hundred miles or so (75 to 100 miles), just do "normal" braking (like coming to a stop sign)...but do it GRADUALLY. Don't do F1 style pit stops (30 to 0 in like 5 feet). You need to basically heat cycle the rotor and bed the pads...try not to do full stops from above 60-70mph...

It's just like any piece of machinery...you must break it in properly...

I'm using the stock supra TT pads from Toyota,
stock lug nuts, everything stock,

i've taken extra efforts the 2nd time around but again its happening.

I do go easy on the brakes at first and let it cool down, thats what the guy who put them in told me.

after the whole setup rotors runs me like $900 CAD. (slotted, cross drilled, CAD plated, craowl soaked) way too much

Another thing you should watch out is never do the car wash after a long drive while the rotors are still hot. Quick cooling down the rotors by sparying water directly on them is another reason to cause the rotor warpped.

stock supra rotors look 'like gstt', not drilled or slotted, for the same price u get a better rotor. (might as well get a better brake power)

I actually thought about that.

I actually read somewhere the cross drilled actually makes the rotor weaker.

maybe this time i'll just get slotted

what u guys think i should do???

well if the rotors are "drilled" correctly it shouldn't shorten the life of them. plus, good drilled rotors (brembo, ap racing) they are cast that way already, it's not like they get plain rotors and then drill on them. the resulting strengths are very different

Your vibrating steering wheel while braking looks ghey!

Haha. LOL.

Are your "better" rotors better?

Laaaate.

OK guys - enough with the homophobia. Not appropriate on ClubLexus. I changed all references to 'like gstt' since he started it.
