Default Replaced Sway Bar Bushing Today!!!

Best $20.00 Ive spent on this car in a long time. I got the Prothane Black bushings and there was a massive difference from what was in there. I doubt there have ever been replaced. The new ones were about 10x= stiffer than stock. I twisted the stock ones 3-fold where I could hardly even open the Prothanes enough to get them on the bars.

Installation was SUPER easy and anyone is capable of doing this. All you do is take off the brackets (12mm bolt) and pull off the old bushing and slide on the new ones ( just remember to grease them up really good!!

As soon as I turned my first corner I noticed a different right away! There was a dramatic decrease in body roll and turning was a great deal smoother.

Highly Recommended. I got my fronts from Amazon for 12.00 shipped and the rears were $9.00
They are currently out of stock but the next cheapest place to buy them is on ebay at 14.00 shipped for the rears!

Hey, I ordered OEM-Like Replacement Bushings so they are rubber. Do you think I need to apply grease to them? And if so, what kind of grease?

thanks.. ordered my fronts a couple days ago. Can't beat it for roughly $13 shipped
(I needed $25 in purchases for free shipping, so that gave me an excuse to by one of those mini RC helicopters) lol

I think these are just as good as the Daizens. The key is the grease...don't be cheap with the grease...load it up.

I believe Energy Susp made poly bushings for the 2GS as well...color is red.

OK...looks like they changed the color to black now...years ago...i remember them as red.

Anyways, yes, they are 14mm for the rear....

This looks like a easy fix. Can someone provide pics or a write up? I've searched and I can't seem to find one.

Dude....this mod is a no-brainer...

- Lift up car
- Remove sway bar bracket
- Remove old bushing
- Clean sway bar area for new bushing
- Grease inside of new bushing and install to sway bar
- Re-install bracket
- Enjoy the ride.
