Default Question for those who have BC coils 12/10 spring rate

My current set up is megan ez coils which i assume are 10/8 spring rate, looking for a beefier shock set up and i heard that bc coils are indeed beefier and their ride quality is better...was wondering if 12/10 is suitable for daily driving, roads in chicago are not perfect but not too bad as they did a lot of construction over the past couple of years,

those with this bc coil set up plz leave comments

You aren't satisfied with the megan ez coils? If so can you explain? I have them now and i am curious as to what is causing you to change coils. Hopefully no serious problems.

nothing is wrong with them, i just want a firmer and stiffer ride...megan ez coils are great for the price but since bc coils have beefier shock bodies the ride quality should be better

as kim said it is too soft and even for stock wheels lowered to one finger gap all around, i rub the fender liner at up and down dips but no rubbing when driving on regular roads

I was running 10/8 for over a year on BC Coils. At the height I set it at, I had to set the damping way too stiff to compensate for the soft springs.

This month I ordered a pair of 12k springs from CircuitMS and installed them in the front, changing it to 12/10 and the ride feels a lot better. I'm able to turn the damping softer to get a comparable ride to the 10/8 with high damping, but it is much smoother. I drive around downtown LA frequently, which has terrible roads. The ride isn't jarring or uncomfortable. I'm still fine tuning the damping, but I currently run 22/20 clicks out from firmest, compared to before when I ran 12/10 clicks from firmest. I'm also on FIGS Mega Arms and in the rear, have the shock mounted closest to the wheel, which makes the rear spring feel even firmer.

Upgrading the springs made the suspension feel a whole lot better and I highly recommend it if you feel that your current springs are too soft.

I haven't had the opportunity to compare Megan to BC, but the beefier internals should translate to a somewhat smoother ride. The real benefit is durability, the larger internals will last longer compared to Megans.

Running a 12/8 setup myself on new BCRs, and coming from previously coilover'd rides I can say that the Lexus is still quite comfy. I DD mine, and have 0 complaints.

12/10 is a good setup for those who are running a lower stance or like a bit firmer setup

As always, if anyone have any questions or wants help with a set like this, just shoot us a PM.
