Default When will coilovers need rebuilt?

I just bought some used Tein SS coilovers from my.is site. How will I know when they arrive that the condition of them is good for say another 40k miles or more? How will I know prior to install if they are busted and full of ****?

Thanx

easy answer is you wont, only real way to check prior to is to have a shock dyno. Life of a coilover is dependent on driving style [+potholes], they don't have a definitive mileage on replace.

If fluid is leaking from the shock, if you compress the shock rod and it doesn't push back immediately, if after you install them and you've got mad wheel hop.
