To all you slammed guys
What kind of lower ball joint / upper control arms do you use that allow you to stay so low? On my 98 Gs4 I currently have S-Tech springs with kybs, daizen front sway bar and I'm forced to change my ball joint about every 6 months. Also have changed the caster bushings, steering rack bushings, and have front and back strut bars and 3gs rims with ls400 brake calipers.
Now I'm getting read to put stock springs back on with new UCA and LBJs.
Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

being lowered with such a stiff suspension really causes a lot more stress on my ball joints plus these bumpy Houston roads I sometimes feel like they can fail at any moment. I've had an lbj fail about 10 months after it was changed. Thankfully I was at a stop sign. I feel putting the stock springs back on will guve them and the tires more longevity.

Dude, thats not normal. There are tons of members here lower and running WAY stiffer suspension than Tein lowering springs and don't change anywhere near that often. If you 're having to change that often maybe you are getting a lower quality ball joint. If you want a good OEM quality one I recommend getting Moog brand. Because every 6 months is WAY too excessive.

Hey Guys, I'm planning to lower my car and was wondering if the stock shocks for my 99 gs4 is good enough? I'm looking into getting Tein Springs because coilovers are too expensive for me. I also have runflat tires and ever since I installed them, my ride has been a little rough. Will this mess up my shocks? Any input will be highly appreciated. Thank you

I have Tein S-techs with KYB shocks. It is a nice upgrade from OEM. I knew for sure I did not need the adjustability nor the need to go lower later... So I am very happy with this setup.
OP, my balljoints are holding up quite well with the Teins. I do not think the swar bar has anything to do with your problem.

i have have been on stock shocks with tanabe df's for over 3 yrs and have had NO problems at all. i have realatively low miles but i would assume a 99 would have alot of miles on it so i would get shocks, but if i was on a strict budget personally i would save up and buy the megan ez coilovers. they are under $700. gl
