Default My parking brake doesn't work!

Back then, I installed Silver Star back-up lights and wanted to see how they looked. I turned on the engine, pushed the e-brake lever (brake light comes on), and put the car in reverse. When I let go of the brake pedal, the car starts going back. Same happens in D, parking brake makes no difference and I guess it doesn't work. Anything I can do myself or should I visit dealer/shop?

Does it not work at all, or does it not grab very well? Either way, I think you should leave it to a mechanic (dealer or private shop) to diagnose.

did push it all the way down?? how about you try engaging the ebrake on a hill and put it in neutral and see would you roll forward or backward

Parking brakes generally hold better in the forward direction.

Yup, all the way down and the "BRAKE" light comes on. I tried it in my garage which has like a 2 degree incline lol. I put the brake on, put in neutral and my car slowly rolls out into the ally so my parking parking brake does not work at all.
